The North
Texas Coalition for a Just Peace is a
group of North Texans who have been meeting since September 11. Our
objectives are to respond to terrorism through non-military, just means and
promote alternatives to war; to defend the legal rights and safety of Muslim
and Arab Americans; and to protect civil liberties.
We strive to
achieve these goals by calling public demonstrations, sponsoring educational
forums and debates, and participating in activities that promote peace.
The North Texas
Coalition for a Just Peace meets from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on the first Monday of
each month. Our meeting space is the Dallas Peace Center at 4301 Bryan
Street.

Why you should participate in the National Moratorium to Stop the War in
Iraq: "One day in March the Air Force and Navy will launch between 300 and
400 cruise missiles at targets in Iraq. More than the
number that were launched during the entire 40 days of the first Gulf War.
'so that you have this simultaneous effect, rather like the nuclear weapons
at Hiroshima, not
taking days or weeks but in minutes.'" (CBS News, January 27, 2003) If you
had known about Hiroshima in advance, what would you have done to stop it?
The Dallas Peace Rally and Concert is sponsored by the Dallas Coalition
