Description of Dance Classes:  Classes are designed to allow the participant to experience the social and historical context the traditional art form.  The variety of traditional pieces presented captures the diversity and connectivity of African dance.  The inclusion of song, drums / percussion, & Dance set the stage for the attendees to enjoy the richness of culture.
Resumé of teacher

Chipo Chemoyo (aka Jennifer) is an educator & choreographer in various African dance styles.  Her background is firmly rooted in traditional dance of which she highlights the social & anthropological aspects of the culture as it relates to song, drum, and culture. She holds a BS degree in Science and postgraduate studies in Global Management. Since then, Chipo has been a performing member of Hedzole–Ghanaian Dance Ensemble, Re-Create & Move Dance Ensemble, Kazak, Haizian Creole, and currently she holds the role of Administrative Director with Delou Africa Dance Ensemble and Assistant Director of Re-Create & Move Children’s dance Company.  She has been a long-standing member of the Academy of Arts Family in Hollywood.
